Bringing people happily together in a place of their own instinctive choosing is what I do best and my joint philosophy and passion is to provide a ceremony that gets to the heart of who the couple are whilst ensuring that all those present to witness your special day are at ease and feel that it is the greatest privilege to share your day with you both.

I’ve written beautifully poignant, comfortably real and truly uplifting scripts for all of my couples and I’ve done this with huge ingredients of humanity, joy, spirit and attention to detail.

The most important thing is that this is your day, your ceremony, your wedding and this is your love. So let’s get started! From the moment we first contacted Maria we knew we had made the right choice. She took the time to meet us in person and by phone to talk through ideas of how we wanted our big day to go. Carole and I decided to get married at home , aiming for a relaxed day , free of too much formality, with our family and close friends. We of course wanted to make sure we marked the occasion properly but without stuffiness and an emphasis on recognising the happiness of the day . We had known Maria for some time, and were convinced she had the personality (large!) to carry off just what we wanted, and we were not to be disappointed. She met with us weeks prior to the day to establish what we wanted and to talk us through the day and what we could expect from her.

The ceremony took place in our front room, and from the first few seconds Maria made sure the atmosphere was just as we wanted - relaxed and fun, no awkwardness whatsoever. She made sure that the appropriate level of formality was marked with the vows of course, and the symbolic element of sipping from the Quaich added a special touch. We had a fantastic day, Maria helping to hit the tone we wanted, and we are very grateful to her for that.
